Suspect in Queens gang slay nabbed at mother’s home after four-month investigation

A suspect needed for a Queens gang homicide was nabbed at his mom’s home after a four-month investigation, police mentioned Wednesday.

Omar Prado, 22, was arrested Tuesday on homicide and gun prices.

Police say Prado is a member of La Familia gang. He allegedly gunned down Kelvin Gomez, 29, outdoors Corona’s Best Grocery on 108th St. close to Westside Ave. in Corona about 5:05 p.m. June 2.

EMS rushed Gomez to Elmhurst Hospital Heart, however he couldn’t be saved. The sufferer was a member of the Trinitarios gang and was shot in retaliation for a earlier theft, in keeping with cops. He lived a couple of blocks from the deli.

Prado lives in Whitestone, in keeping with cops. His arraignment was pending Wednesday in Queens Prison Court docket.
