Vegan musician Miley Cyrus recently called out animal lovers, implying that it’s hypocritical to say you care about animals if you also eat them.
The vegan musician took to Instagram to talk about animal rights with her 82 million followers, with an Instagram story saying: “Today’s tea: You can’t say you care about animals if you eat them.”
Miley Cyrus has been vegan for the animals since 2014 and is one of many vegan musicians and celebrities who are vocal about veganism, animal rights, and sustainable fashion.
She was voted one of the most influential vegans in 2017 and was offered the “Celebrity Advocate Award” from the Animal Rights National Conference for “having a strong voice for the animals.”
The event organizers also praised the vegan musician for not only “talking the talk” but also “walking the walk of the vegan lifestyle.”
Her husband, Liam Hemsworth, is also vegan for the animals and was recently commended and described as Miley’s “survival partner” for single-handedly rescuing all their animals during the California wildfires.
The couple recently got married in their home in Tennessee after years of having an on-and-off relationship and was sent a pair of “Mr. and Mrs. Vegan” bathrobes as a wedding gift.
