Two rumors recently grew in the media about what could be the biggest movie news. Marvel Studios could revolutionize everything with these plans … Confirmed successes?
Marvel Studios does not clash with their plans. Despite the fact that the production company has placed less well-known characters at the forefront of its most recent productions such as Shang-Chi or soon with The Eternals, they know how to make people connect with each story, making everything a success. This premise began with the saga of Guardians of the Galaxy, which presented a group with little impact on the collective imagination and turned it into a phenomenon the size of media colossi such as Spider Man O Hulk.
However, when the plot or argument is part of something well recognized, the hype is inevitable and success is almost certain. This was the case with The Avengers, a world famous team forever, so when they put them on the big screen everyone wanted to see it. The same could be repeated with two incredible plans.
The first one is Marvel Zombies. The homonymous events already occurred in the comics, being one of the most iconic events, since the mass death of many heroes, as well as the creation of a reality without much to contribute to the canon, was an escape from everything, a masterful move.
All of this, or a large part rather, was seen in the series What If…?, in which an adaptation of these comics was shown. The surprising thing is that the writer of graphic literature, Mark Millar, announced that the studio is planning a live-action project of it. “(If my sources are correct) there will be some live-action Marvel Zombies later on, but you never heard that from me,” stated the publisher.
Will Sony take the big step?
The other idea on the table has to do with Sony and its Marvel sub-universe. This set of stories feature Spider-Man as an axis, but has included other characters in it such as Venom O Morbius, giving solo films to each. Kraven, The Hunter, will be the next to take part.
However, the great protagonist has not met the others, which are of great relevance in his cartoons. This would be about to change, because Andy Serkis, director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, confirmed whether Venom and ‘Spidey’ will cross paths at the movies.
“That is the question that is on everyone’s lips. They want to know if Venom will meet Spider-Man, but personally, it will never happen. (dramatic pause) I’m kidding, of course it’s going to happen ”, he said.
