Margarine giant Flora announced it will go 100% vegan as it relaunches its whole product range to make it vegan.

As demand for vegan products increases, Flora decided to ditch dairy in all of its products including Flora Original, Flora Light, and Flora Buttery.

Due to their separate manufacturing process, Flora products are suitable for those with severe dairy allergies or intolerance. They are also free from preservatives as well as artificial colors and flavors.

“Health and well-being has never been so important to consumers, said Steven Hermiston, UK and Ireland general manager at Upfield, which owns Flora after buying it from Unilever.

“People care more about what goes into the products they are feeding themselves and their families, but they are not prepared to compromise on taste – and they shouldn’t have to.”

“Plant-based nutrition is at the heart of the Upfield business and Flora, with its plant goodness, is set to lead the charge and marks a key moment for us and the wider category.”

The new Flora vegan line, which the brand boasts now tastes better compared to the previous dairy-derived products, is certified by UK vegan charity The Vegan Society to make it easy for consumers to identify the products as suitable for vegans.

“With a great new recipe making Flora more delicious than ever, our new 100 percent plant goodness range can be enjoyed by the whole family,” Hermiston concluded.
