New York-based ice cream brand Enlightened has announced the launch of new low-calorie, dairy-free ice cream bars that are 100 calories or less.

Enlightened, known for its wide variety of unique, low-calorie ice cream flavors, now has vegan ice cream bars available, in time for summer.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our creamy dairy-free frozen desserts in spoon-free format,” Michael Shoretz, founder and CEO of Enlightened said in a statement sent to Vegan World News.

“With the introduction of our dairy-free pints, we began serving a whole new community, and offering our dairy-free bars was the next logical step. But whether you’re dairy-free or just an ice cream lover, we’re confident you’ll love our new bars!”

The ice cream bars, which have an almond milk base, come in five flavors: Monkey Business, Mint Chip, Salted Caramel Mocha Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter & Jelly

Monkey Business is a banana bar with peanut butter and chocolate chip swirls.

Mint Chip is a mint bar infused with chocolate chips.

Salted Caramel, as the name suggests, is a salted caramel bar with a caramel swirl.

Peanut Butter & Jelly is a PB&J bar with a tart raspberry jam swirl.

Mocha Chocolate Chip features mocha with chocolate chips.

The bars are dairy-free, gluten-free and and vegan, and each one is 100 calories or less.

While other ice cream brands like Magnum and Häagen-Dazs have also launched vegan ice cream bars this year, Enlightened sets itself apart with its low-sugar, low-calorie, high protein desserts.

Enlightened is now the fastest-growing brand in the better-for-you ice cream category.

The new vegan ice cream bars are now available in U.S Albertsons, Safeway, Big Y, HEB, Shoprite, Sprouts and Weis locations nationwide.
