Carnivore YouTuber Gatis Lagzdins, better know as sv3rige, ate a raw squirrel at a vegan market to provoke vegans but disgusted meat eaters instead.
Lagzdins held an anti-vegan demonstration at Soho’s vegan market last weekend while being surrounded by fellow meat eaters who held “eat animal fats, don’t die” signs.
Clad with an anti-vegan shirt and a necklace made from a dead woodcock bird, the carnivore YouTuber began eating a furry dead squirrel in the middle of the food stands in order to taunt vegans.
However, his stunt backfired as meat eaters who supported the vegan market got freaked out instead of craving meat.
According to Metro, a nonvegan passerby said: “What the f**k is going on?” While another added: “Why are you doing this? I eat meat, but I don’t do this.”
Sv3rige explained that he and the other protesters were just raising awareness because veganism is malnutrition.
“My message is that veganism is malnutrition and the reason I and other people eat raw meat is to show what humans eat in nature,” he told Metro.
“We try to talk to with the vegans and explain to them that there are over 15 nutrients that they can’t get from plants. Quite often, we do make them understand and get them to look into it a bit more.”
“Vegans are mostly about morals and ethics, but they don’t know anything about nutrition.”
Another protester, who claimed to be an ex-vegan, said: “We evolved for millions of years on animal products so it’s a fallacy that we can suddenly eat just plants.”
Speaking about the anti-vegan demonstration, vegan Adam Protz said on Facebook group London Vegans: “Massive shout out to the staff of Unity Diner, who handled that lunatic Sv3rige and his anti-vegan gang turning up brilliantly yesterday.”
“AKA, they locked the doors, and we all ignored the f**k out of them, making their ‘protest’ limp and pathetic.”
Last month, Lagzdins also held an anti-vegan protest in a vegan food festival in Brighton, UK, where he ate a raw pig’s head to encourage meat eaters to ditch vegan food.
However, his stunt also backfired as most meat eaters — adults and children — who went to the vegan food festival and saw his stunt were inspired to go vegan instead.
Lagzdins said he has been banned from the event.
Police did not confirm the identities of two individuals who were arrested at the event, but the YouTuber is believed to be one of them as he was seen getting handcuffed in video footage.
