Brooklyn dad on strategy to ‘Sunday dinner’ with household gunned down in gang-related feud

A longstanding Brooklyn gang feud erupted anew with the gunshot slaying of a Brownsville man on his strategy to Sunday dinner together with his mother, aunt and child son, police sources and relations stated.

Kizer Williams, 25, was shot within the chest and leg about 4:45 p.m. Sunday in entrance of 180 Powell St., within the Seth Low Homes, in a gang-related assault, police stated. He was taken to Brookdale College Hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless.

Sources stated the taking pictures stemmed from a longstanding rivalry between the Waves, to which Williams belonged, and one other gang.

However his devastated mom, Michele Benjamin, 52, and aunt, Brenda Benjamin, 59, disputed any ties to a gang, describing Williams as a younger dad about to maneuver to Florida together with his 3-year-old son Kevone to make a contemporary begin.

The toddler lives with Michele Benjamin, the household stated.

“He was a sort, loving particular person… an excellent child,” Williams’ mother instructed the Each day Information. “He was about to maneuver to Florida for a greater life for him and his son. … There was nothing else right here for him.”
