Boil water advisory lifted in Passaic after more than a month

NEW JERSEY — A boil water advisory that precipitated a whole lot of nervousness for residents in northern Jersey was lastly lifted Friday after greater than a month.

It stemmed from a reservoir contamination after it was backed up with flood waters from Tropical Storm Ida. 

Officers in Passaic county mentioned it shouldn’t have occurred within the first place — and they’re now on a mission to ensure it doesn’t occur once more
