Sir John Nicholas Barnett, also known as “Sir John,” Beyoncé‘s long time makeup artist, launched his very own vegan and cruelty-free beauty line specifically for South Africans.

Sir John collaborated with South Africa-based multinational retailer Woolworths Holdings Limited to launch vegan beauty line named “Volume 1.”

The new vegan beauty line includes a 4-pack liquid shimmer eyeshadow, liquid matte and solid lipsticks both in nude colors, illuminating highlighter with a matching illuminating highlighter powder.

It also includes mini nail polish in 4 shades, a makeup brush set, and a multi shimmer cosmetics bag — all vegan.

Vivienne Joseph, Head of Beauty at Woolworths, told Reuters: “We were very clear that this little piece of red carpet global luxury can show that we can live alongside Chanel, alongside Tom Ford, alongside Jo Malone and still have exactly the same quality of innovation.”

She added that the partnership with Sir John improves the retailer’s vision to offer locally produced products that can rival high-end cosmetics.

Sir John’s Volume 1 beauty line is already available online and will hit the shelves this week.
